Gerry Schrock Serves Through MDS in MD

Published July 13, 2015 by Mennonite Church of Normal in Uncategorized

Gerry Schrock recently served Hurricane Sandy victims in Crisfield Maryland.  Here is an excerpt from the thank you letter sent to us by Mennonite Disaster Service:

Recently MDS…dedicated four houses in Crisfield, Maryland, a town that was heavily damaged by Hurricane Sandy more than two years ago. Wind-driven water and mud from the Chesapeake Bay surged into Crisfield homes causing extensive damage. In each house that was dedicated, MDS volunteers, neighbors, friends and families clustered to celebrate the finished home with prayers of thanksgiving to God.

When the large group gathered in Mr. David’s living room  he was pleased to see the the floor could handle a crowd of people–“There’s strong, then there’s MDS strong!”  he said.

Your contributions help keep MDS strong and help; keep volunteer [like our own Gerry Schrock] working to build sturdy, solid houses.
