Adult Christian Education Course Descriptions

Uniform Series Bible Study

Adult Bible Study provides a quarterly study of the Bible from an Anabaptist perspective. Lessons are based on the International Bible Lessons for Christian Teaching by the Committee on the Uniform Series. Scripture texts are from the Holy Bible: Today's New International Version. In addition to weekly lessons, Adult Bible Study offers daily Bible readings, a weekly online essay, and suggested resources for additional study.

Adult Bible Study Online is a free, added resource providing an update to the printed materials, prepared and posted just prior to the date of the lesson. These free columns are designed to help you bring current events and Bible study together.

Fall 2011: Growing in God's Wisdom (Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Songs, Matthew)

Winter 2011-2012: God Establishes a Faithful People (Genesis, Luke, Exodus, Galatians)

Spring 2012: God's Creative Word (Proverbs, John)

Summer 2012: God Calls for Justice (Exodus, Leviticus, Deuteronomy, 1 & 2 Samuel, 1 & 2 Chronicles, 2 Kings, Psalms, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel)

Adult Topical Studies

Periodic topical studies are offered regarding wellness, church history, theology, stewardship and more!

Children's Christian Education Curriculum (Grades 5 and younger)

“Living the Good News Together” is this quarter’s theme. The children will learn about the cost of discipleship, and how to live as faithful followers of Jesus.

Easter events are included in the lessons. The memory verse is John 13:34-35.

Gather ’Round is a Bible-based curriculum nurturing children, youth, and adults in becoming followers of Jesus: people who know and love God, interpret God’s word, belong to God’s gathered community, and share God’s good news.

Each age level studies the same Bible story at the same time.
